THE WEST WINDOW
In contrast to the Crucifixion in the East Window here we have the Resurrection.
Left Panel: An Angel resting
Centre Panel: A Roman soldier weeping at the feet of the Risen Christ
Right Panel: Two figures, at the entrance to the empty Tomb
In the very base of this window is the following dedication:
In Loving Memory of The Rev. Honble. Edmund Tudor St. John, who was for years incumbent of this Church and of St. Lesmo's, Glen Tanar. He was married to a Adeline, dau of Admiral Sir Arthur Farquhar of Drumnagesk.
As you will see elsewhere in this Church the Farquhar family were major contributors to Christ Church in its early days. Adeline's grave is here at Christ Church and St. John descendants have visited as recently as 2016.
